So the Cranium sculpting clay doesn’t stick together anymore and some of the board games have liquor stains—think of them as broken in. Red Derby is boisterous enough that you don’t feel out of place breaking out a board. Owner D Leven says that when Red Derby opened nine years ago, they had only the usual deck of cards, backgammon board, and chess set. This changed when one of the employees brought in Apples to Apples. The bar now stocks many of the usual suspects: Jenga, Cards Against Humanity, Connect Four, and classics like chess and Rock’em Sock’em Robots.
